Brahmanandam paramasukhadam kevalam jnanamurtim

Ekam nityam vimalamachalam sarvadhi sakshibhutam
Bhavatitam triguna rahitam sadgurum tam namami.

BOW TO BRAHMAN

Prostrations to Brahman, the eternal and all-pervading one, the bestower of Mukti, the one non-dual principle. Prostrations again to the Sat, the cause of the world, to the Chit, the support of the whole world.

Tvameva mata cha pita tvameva
Tvameva bandhuscha sakha tvameva,
Tvameva vidya dravinam tvameva
Tvameva sarvam mama deva deva.
Thou art my mother, Thou art my father,
Thou art my relative, Thou art my friend,
Thou art my knowledge, Thou art my wealth,
Thou art everything to me, O! my God of gods!

Asato ma sadgamaya,
Tamaso ma jyotir-gamaya,
Mrityor ma amritam gamaya.
O Lord! Lead me on From the unreal to the Real,
From darkness to Light,

Even if you have nothing to eat,
Even if you are in the role of unemployment,
Even if you are clad in rags,
You are essentially Satchidananda Svarupa.
Assert, affirm, recognise, realise this
And be free, O Ram!
